This large cross pendant is beautifully crafted from all natural materials. It starts out as a single piece of rosewood and is carved into the cross shape. The wood here is light brown with some pink overtones. Then, gifted artisans inlay pieces of natural abalone (paua) shell onto each side of the cross. There is a half-drilled hole, drilled into the top of the long axis of the cross. Everything is done by hand, so there are some variations which result in a very natural appearance. Lovely for meaningful design.
